Gernans perfected just in time shipping long before the US. Whenever a serial number was incinerated, it was logged amd recorded. At the end of the day, the logs would be transmitted to SS headquarters, the serial numbers were put back into the list available for application to newly arrested Jews. The German extermination apparatus was so efficient that they only needed 200k numbers to rotate through, as they only stayed in circulation for a week or two. The name, number, date of application, and date of incineration, as well as personal assets seized were all logged, so that high scores could be calculated based on different unit goals (kill speed for camp staff, seized asset totals for Jew hunters, etc.)
