Do y'all have any preferences on map projection? I'm fond of Robinson myself. Similar to what we're all used to but less distortion.

Ah, I'm a fan of Robinson as well, but my personal favourite is the Waterman Butterfly, which imho is the best way to deal with distortion.

I switch between the two (for the Waterman, I do it as close as is possible to the continents' shapes but often it's not much of a butterfly or I have to cut a continent) in my own maps, but the Waterman is much more of a challenge to use.

I can't bring myself to use a cut map, because I just don't find them aesthetically pleasing or intuitive to read, though the lack of distortion is tempting. I might make a small test one just to see what I think about it.
