A common observation is that Humpty Dumpty is always portrayed as an egg in illustrations, but the tale never mentions this. In an alternate universe prior to the 20th century, the rhyme maybe went:
Humpty Dumpty sat on a wall
Humpty Dumpty had a great fall
And all the King's horses and all the King's men
Could not put Humpty Dumpty back together again
And he was an Egg.
Maybe the Time Lords realized that was shite and edited it out sometime in the 1880's? And the only reason we don't experience a Mandela Effect from this is that none of us were alive before the change?
How fucking deep does this go, my dudes?

It was a nursery rhyme and it was commonly understood that he was an egg. It may also have been told as a riddle where the hearer was expected to figure out why Humpty Dumpty could not be put back together again.
