So obvious question, the username, those 3+ months include zero booze?

Haha, no not zero, but in moderation. This account predates my diet but I try to keep it somewhat active. If and when I do drink I try to make up for the calories in the gym the next morning.

I ask because ethanol is incredibly calorie dense, round 7kCal/g, compared to fats/oils, round 9kCal/g. Also a pound of body fat, due to not being pure fat, works out to 3,500kCal so you theoretically should be dropping a pound a week. I would try keeping better track of the booze, the amount of oil as it adds up fast, and perhaps even the cheat day?

I've been experimenting somewhat throughout the diet. I kind of alternate monthly between frying and wrapping it in foil and sticking it in the oven. I'm not sure if it would be any different, calorically, though. The amount of oil I use is calculated into my meal plan. Even if I use the oven I still drizzle the same amount of oil onto the fish/broccoli to keep it at the 1,200-1,400 range.

I should add my BMR is 1,948 and my TDEE is 2,338 (per online calculator). My schooling requires about 80hrs a week so there's not much time for even a mildly active life. I try to exercise when I can, I used to run 1-2 miles every morning (5-10/wk) but injured my knee, running daily is not an option any more. I mostly try to fit in 1-3 weight lifting sessions a week now instead of running.

The scale just doesn't budge, or when it does it just springs down and immediately back up again a few days later. Body composition (per before & after photographs) hasn't changed much either. idk man, fucking witchcraft.

What's your TDEE and BMR? These indicate how many calories you need wen you're at your most active vs. basic caloric requirements.

Edit: how many calories do you consume on cheat days? Also, a cheat day once in a while is fine, but if you want progress, limit it as much as possible.

A cheat to me means eating some pie/chocolate/bunch of nuts/a pizza/lasagna. So at most 1500 calories in one meal.

Sorry, should have probably put my info up there as well

BMR: 1,948

TDEE: 2,338

per tdeecalculator.net

On my cheat days I don't bother counting calories...its just whatever I've been craving throughout the week. If I had to generously guesstimate I'd say it would probably be around 3,000-4,000 calories at most.

Even with a 4,000 calorie cheat day though, I should still be at a weekly 4,000 calorie deficit.
