A number of us have taken the route of supporting Steam while they push Linux. Once gaming has been well established on Linux, then I will probably stop buying anything from Steam at all.

How many of those are backed up for life for free? =P Steam has it's advantages. I don't worry about backing up any of my games or losing them to time like my CDs. and i don't mind paying developers for good games. how many of those half a million did you purchase and support the developer?
