There should be no risk. Often, in a class action, those who refuse to join the class are barred from suing for themselves. This is not always the case, but it is common. I say get on the list and take what you can get -- if you think you may meet the conditions.

If it is obvious that it doesn't apply to you (class of workers before 1992 but you started in 1993 for example), throw it out. :)
