Hi, if you're using a multichannel pippetor, you have to really jam on all the tips to make sure you have a good seal - also visually inspect the tips and make sure you're aspirating the same volume of liquid before pippeting into the wells.

Also, the amount of times the pipettes got contaminated with other peoples stuff as staggering. Does your lab have a pipette cleaning service?

Also can you test the reagents in separate plates to see if the same thing happens? Sometimes there can be a bit of carry over with multiwell plates

We don't reuse pippettes - do you mean the pipettors get contaminated?

I've reused 96 well plates though when there're some wells left - just cover unused wells with a plate sticker and they shouldn't get contaminated.
