For the text to speech voices, Chipspeech, and getting the timing, pitch, and German pronunciation right on that damn thing was the worst. For the female TTS voice, I used an Android app called Vocality, that lets you record the default Android TTS voices, specifically UK English in the case of this track. I know Kraftwerk used an American English TTS voice (and it bugs me that I don't know what TTS voice that is), but I liked the sound and tone of the UK English one better. For the Underground Resistance bit in the middle of the track, I simply recorded myself, used Ableton Live's default Vocoder effect (insanely powerful, uber easy to use), and threw together a quick and dirty low pitch saw wave with some noise mixed in for the carrier signal.
Very few 3rd party plugins were used in the making of this track. I used the Arturia Wurlitzer V for the blippy noises before the bassline kicks in, and the Arturia Vox Continental V for the supporting organ lines before the Underground Resistance bit and the end. The rest of the sounds have been achieved through built-in Ableton plugins and creative sampling. I don't like using 3rd party stuff for CPU reasons. I do envy Kraftwerk for the compressors they use, since in the original there are no phasing artifacts on the Underground Resistance part's shakers, unlike in my case, where I couldn't completely get rid of them without losing the feel of the beat or damaging the synth line. It was a fun track to remake. I should remake Music Non Stop next, since I have some ideas and I have sampled some good sounds.
