I go to farm auctions all the time. These auctions are generally held when Mom and Pop are retiring from farming and the kids have enough sense not to go into farming as a profession. Well I picked up very fine grit (can you say smooth) sharpening stone for $0.25. (that's 25 cents) I bought the stone more as a curiosity than for any other reason. The curious thing about the stone was it had a label on it. The Label read Franz Swaty Wahring Bei Miln Austria. Well you don't get a chance to pick up a very fine grit European Stone every day. I did a little research on the stone and found out it was a Barbers stone for honing straight razors. I decided to test it out on one of my Stainless Steel blades (which I hate because you can't sharpen the dammed things.) Long story short, CAN YOU SAY FOUR STAPLES TO CLOSE CUT IN LEFT HAND!!!!
Funny thing was I didn't even know I was cut until there was blood all over the place!!! That stainless steel knife is now a dangerous weapon!!!!!!
