I'm bringing some of my subreddits over so I'll be using most of my initial time here towards moving existing content to get the ball rolling. It's nothing personal against reddit. I don't hate it, and in fact I'll probably still use it more frequently for the foreseeable future.

You mentioned how you'd like to see people actually introduce themselves, and I'd love to do that.

Here are some general things:

  • I'm from the D.C. area.

  • I'm bi, and currently trying to reel in this gorgeous guy. Brown hair, brown eyes. Dreamy, for my preferences.

  • The entire reason I spend so much time on reddit, and now Voat, is to gain experience from a web-based moderation perspective. I have a general goal to launch a web-based business and I want to see how to deal with tons of people in an environment where I operate from "behind a keyboard". It's been an interesting ride so far, I can't imagine what an actual business will be like, although I know it'll be a bit more mature of an environment given that I plan to serve B2B rather than B2C.

  • I love cars. People ask what my favorite car is, and I really have no answer. I'd be just as happy behind the wheel of a vintage Beetle as I would a huge pickup truck. I'd really like to own a Mercedes G Wagon someday though. I just love the general exploration behind how each car drives and I genuinely try to learn something from each experience. A friend recently let me drive her Jeep and I got to toy around with the low range gearbox which I've always wanted to do, although she had no idea what it was about.

  • I enjoy looking at real estate (which I currently can't afford) online. I'll frequently look at large lots and dream of a house I'd build there.

Do you have anything to share?

P.S. Happy Friday :-)
