Hi there, BBQue! Thanks for the welcome!

I think the small subreddit tactic is a good strategy, though I hope it won't be necessary for a little while yet. Unless something incredible happens over on Reddit I don't think there's going to be a massive influx in the near future. My goal is to build up a few small communities myself for when the time does come.

HI! Like you, the reddit drama has mostly been of passing interest to me. I look forward to this community being smaller (for a while at least) and more democratic in the long run. I see this as an opportunity to be near the start of something, rather than join a site like reddit where trends had already been established and constantly feeling like I am missing everything that happens, even as a regular user.

Exactly! I think being here at the beginning carries a lot of responsibility, since it's on us to make this place generally nice from the start. Gotta establish the culture.

Yep I enjoy being part of a smaller community. Reddit was definitely great for many years.
