If you think a nigger joke is likely to be appreciated universally as in both a Klan rally and an Urban League convention then I don't know what to tell ya pal.

See, that's exactly what I mean. Like a lot of people around here you have no appreciation for nuance. Everything is black or white. Up or down. You are no better than those you criticize here for that very reason yet still you persist. Keep swimming upstream, it's pretty hilarious and I don't mean that in an unkind way. It's just amusing to me.

You said comedy transcends all barriers. That is quite clearly not true - as I just articulated. What is funny, or what jokes are even 'allowed' to be told, is determined a lot by people's biases, experiences, or cultural background. Or how they see reality.

Take this thread for example.

Over 230 people thought it was 'funny' enough (it is in the funny subverse) to upvote it, suggesting they think calling me a Jew is funny. Their perception of reality is based on the backstory that I must be Jewish because I contest their perception of reality that Jews rule the world, Jews are responsible for basically all important things they dislike that are discussed here, etc. It also received some 20 downvotes. These are probably the people that know calling me a Jew isn't funny. Why? Because lies aren't funny. Humor is based in truth. But these 230 some people - or at least some of those 230 - have a different perception of truth.
