I don't understand the huge emphasis people make on ccw and handguns, to be honest. I'd much rather have a rifle than a handgun when the shtf.

Rifles cant bw carried around on your day to day. When you get mugged walking home from work late one night, you wont have your rifle on you. But you could have your pistol.

One more reason why you gotta love small towns with 98% white population. The last time our gas station was robbed we talked about it for weeks.

Don't want to get assaulted by a pavement ape? Stay out of the urban jungle.

Are you carrying a rifle in your hands in the line at McDonald's?

The pistol is with you 100% of the time. Much easier to carry than a rifle.

The Shit is going to Hit The Fan at a gas station with one guy pulling a gun on you. You better be ready to stay alive.

Eh. If I think I'm fast and smooth enough to draw on someone in that kind of situation, I'm only blowing smoke up my own ass.

The best defense against that kind of situation is to keep your eyes open and stay away from shitty parts of town.

I'm more concerned about interruptions to our oil supplies or something large scale, as we'd quickly run out of food in supermarkets and hungry people are pretty desperate.

Yes. Even at home, a long gun is a bitch to lug around all the time; although, however, having one, in addition to a pistol is always added safety, since you might have time to get the long gun.
