Nice ride, how do you like the handles being so low?

I actually came up on sportbikes so aggressive seating positions are what I'm used to. I'm also not taking the bike out for more than an afternoon ... I dont think I could ride her cross country, to be honest - heh.

Nice bike, I was recently stricken by the motorcycle bug when I rode my brothers R6 last week. Not the same genre, but I've always been a fan of the oldies.

I've had a couple R6's. A stolen, crashed, and recovered 00 was my first track bike.

I still miss that one. =[

That must suck to have a bike stolen, a neighbor at my apartment said he just had one stolen from the parking lot, kind of turned me off there for a minute. Then again I could just bring it in at night. So it is true what they say, it's not if but when you lay one down?

Not a rider, but I used to rebuild/restore 1970s CB750s with my dad when I was in high school in the 1990s. My best friend still has one of them that he bought off me ($75, running) that he's converting to a cafe racer along with owning an 82 Honda Saber that has convinced me to buy one if I ever find one and learn to ride. (I can fit my short-ass on that frame.)

Your bike looks great, and you did a wonderful build.

A 1970s CB750 for 75 bucks? Yowza, I'd kill for a shot at one of those, and throw all my efforts into turning it into something like this.

Regardless, thanks for the compliment! And get out there and give it a go, once the motorcycle bug catches you you'll never look back.

Hah! I had a CB750 in that exact color scheme. My friend got a discount because, well, he was a friend.

Too bad you're in Oregon and I'm in Michigan. There's a non-running CB750 sitting in the garage (in pretty bad shape, I admit) that I'd gladly just give to you along with every and any extra parts I have laying around (there's plenty). If you want to take the time to drive out here, the bike and the parts are yours (along with anything we could cannibalize off another 750 I have in the garage but can't give away). It's probably not worth it, as I'm sure you could find a CB750 in better condition and all the parts you need for it for cheaper than your trip would cost. Should, for whatever reason, you decide this is something you wish to do, PM me. I'm serious.

'82 Honda CB650, pretty well hacked apart and put back together. If you see me squiddin' around San Francisco, say hello!
