I never had the privilege of playing old DOS games with a Roland. I played all of my old games on just the internal speaker and would go to my friend's house where he had a SoundBlaster. (I remember being in awe of hearing the Doom chainsaw in the SB.) I do remember seeing them in tech magazines and computer shops.. back when a 20MB hard drive was over a hundred dollars.. I'm really surprised at how big a difference there is between SB and the Roland.
