I'm never gonna understand the Wade hate. Because of the pump fake? And yet you're a Westbrook fan and that dude is prone to fall over if you open a bathroom door in the same arena. Flopping is far worse than drawing fouls which are like 95% the dude actually landing on him.
They jsut said he's on thinners and rumors of 3-6mo no contact. The fucking thing is, it doesn't clear cap space. I think it does next season, but this season we'd only be granted a disabled player exception where we can trade/sign someone to half of the league average which works out to me like ~$3m. We lose out best player, the 6th highest paid player in the league, and only get a $3m exception... and I think we can only get that if we apply for it before the trade deadline... I think. I think that's how it worked last year. He was declared out for the season the day after the deadline and we couldn't do shit about replacing him.
Medical protocol dictates that after a 2nd clot you'll likely be on anticoagulants for at least a year and more likely for life. I repeat, if he really has another clot, he's done.

AP has been told that Heat forward Chris Bosh has resumed taking bloodthinners to treat a clot and has hopes of playing again this season.
Chris Bosh has told friends that he is working on a solution. "He seems good," one told me this morning.
This is one of Miamis better reporters. It could be bullshit. It could be unrealistic optimism on Bosh's part. It could just be bullshit to pacify panicking fans. Who knows..

No shit. I'm just saying what's being reported/rumored. Bosh himself said last year that if he had another clot, it doesn't necessarily mean he's done.
I was wrong about the DPE. We would get an exception for the league average or half the players salary, whichever is less. So we'd get like ~$6m to sign/trade someone to replace him.... but reporters are saying we're already past the deadline for that. If that's the deal and Riley can't pull off some miracle trade... let's fuel up the tank.
