Disable comment voting for any children of one's own comment

That would make no sense to do. Really, think about it. One could easily post a comment then post a reply to that comment with whatever they wanted to say without fear of being downvoted. That would cause a lot (read:a lot) of problems.

I did, I think you misunderstood it. The participant shouldn't be able to up/downvote his/her comment's replies. Others should, but writing a reply would be an alternative to up/downvoting. They'd be excluded in the same way as you can't upvote your own comments.

Yeah, that might never happen. Upvoating/downvoating is crucial to the comment section. Not everything needs a reply.

I swear I had to read this post over a couple of times to make sure I was reading it right. I'm still not sure if I did though..
