Whoa... Users with zero CCP being able to make a new subverse is actually a BUG. Maybe with the last port this got missed? @PuttItOut

Edit: Putts fixed, to 100CCP, https://voat.co/v/ideasforvoat/3093857/17344986

Please fix.

[–] Cynabuns 0 points 6 points (+6|-0) ago

Agreed. This should not be happening.

[–] ratsmack 0 points 5 points (+5|-0) ago

And maybe to create a second sub requires 2 x CCP etc... until you reach some upper limit where you can create subs to the maximum.

[–] CameraCode 0 points 3 points (+3|-0) ago

CCP should be "used up" when creating a new sub (essentially the same as what you said) otherwise they can just reach a certian CCP number and make infinite subs. If shills want to fuck with us they should at least have to earn it.

[–] PeaceSeeker 0 points 4 points (+4|-0) ago

I'm sure this didn't used to be the case.

[–] Mumbleberry [S] 0 points 2 points (+2|-0) ago

As Cyna said, it's a bug

[–] PuttItOut 0 points 18 points (+18|-0) ago

Set this to 100CCP, good find and thank you.

What I noticed is the accounts seem to have been parked prior. Accounts with 0 submission points and some with low negative numbers. Would it be possible to add something to help with something like an activity percentage. It would be easy to farm the CCP just by pandering to the crowd. Someone who parks their accounts for years at a time should have some kind of activation period to create accounts to create a new subverse. When I was going through the subverse requests, I seen a ton of subs created by parked accounts. I know that issue was resolved a little bit ago by the use it or lose it system. However, if someone got 100 CCP 2 years ago and parked their account, they should have to participate on this site once again to create subs.

Yes, will are thinking about how to implement this.

[–] Mumbleberry [S] 0 points 5 points (+5|-0) ago

Glad to help, hopefully will stop the creation of spam vehicle subs and/or subs by sleeper accounts

[–] imgettingmymen 0 points 2 points (+2|-0) ago

good on you for pointing this out. Plus those newly created subverses should be purged.

[–] DrSelfAppointed 0 points 1 points (+1|-0) ago

oh wow, another malfunction in the CCP limiter. I. Am. Surprised.

[–] CanadianAndProud 1 points 1 points (+2|-1) ago

The ccp limit should be increased ten fold due to all these idiots coming over and making threads about nothing

[–] kaonashiii 0 points 0 points (+0|-0) ago

I think a duration limit would help too.

[–] CanadianAndProud 0 points 1 points (+1|-0) ago

It should be 10,000 ccp and once per day

[–] THSenior 0 points 1 points (+1|-0) ago

Good catch

[–] dunklederf 0 points 1 points (+1|-0) ago

i approve

[–] hans_wormhat 2 points 0 points (+2|-2) ago

If they make a sub and leave, then either take it over or ignore it until it is removed from the system.

The ccp restrictions were instituted to prevent infinite bots' mass-downvoting. You haven't put forth a problem to solve by your proposed solution.

[–] Mumbleberry [S] 0 points 3 points (+3|-0) ago

Look at the list of new subs. Many are to push a product or service and were made by new users with zero history

[–] HomerSimpson 0 points 3 points (+3|-0) ago

Then they should be removed for spam. We shouldn't punish new users or users who have separate opinions than the masses.

[–] hans_wormhat 1 points 0 points (+1|-1) ago

But that's the thing, if you're posting your own stuff to your own sub, and you're making nine other posts for every one post of you're own stuff, then you're not spamming.
