If you can't trust a mod to edit a post with the consent of OP, how do you trust them with the power to Ban people?
Seems illogical to me.

Banning is easily and quickly shown. Editing links is not. I'd have to sift through how many links and compare shit to see if you werent editing maliciously like some damned shilly mcshillerton.

And yet is still being abused daily with no repercussions done about it.
No, what i'm suggesting is that when the OP finds out their link is dead, they can find one and post it in a comment and alert the subverse mods and ask them to simply change the link. Would take the mods 2 seconds.
