I know Voat is trying to get more inclusive, and a lot of people don't want to participate because they don't want to see things that offend them.
What if (system) subverses were two tiered. The existing subverses would operate as is rabidly anti-censorship to a point where we worry if we can maintain our hosting/domain etc.....
But another view of the subverse, say /s/pics for instance could have the same basic content, but with a different (super?) set of moderators that attempt to moderate for content quality and "mainstream" appeal.
We would still need mechanisms to keep this optional layer of heavy moderation in check, public mod logs may be enough to start.
Nothing about this should change the experience of the site for normal users.
v/whatever should be excluded from this idea, and whatever happens on the front page an unfiltered v/whatever should remain.
tl;dr optional safe space moderation layering to attract more potential goats to our treehouse. Still no censorship
