I'd prefer to take it a step further and block all US-based IP's from jailbait. This really isn't a trivial matter; Voat is distributing child porn to US citizens, and US citizens are using Voat to share and access child porn. That's a big deal. I have no idea what the laws are, but it wouldn't shock me if American ISPs could be ordered to block this whole site because of that sub. The Feds don't just look the other way when it comes to child porn. Search engines like Google might voluntarily stop putting Voat in their search results. And even if there aren't any actual consequences, the fact that Voat is hosting child porn under US law is going to be a serious obstacle to any expansion.
Just block US IPs and be done with it. Nobody in the US can complain anymore because Voat's not hosting child porn for people in the US, and nobody in Europe can complain because it's not child porn to them. And as far as the anti-censorship crowd goes, this is only censoring things that are considered highly illegal for the affected users.
Then we get into the difference between hosting and aggregating. If voat is guilty isnt google guilty by extension since you can get to those subs from google? Besides that, it's pretty much impossible for google to monitor each of their searches in case it leads to some questionable site.

This is the most sane proposed solution to this issue that has been posted thus far.

Voat isn't a host. You embedding a youtube vid on your page doesn't make you a host.
