I recently bought some milights just to try them. I have to say it's a frustrating user experience because when they're turned off at the (dumb or smart) switch, they're inaccessible. If I turn a dumb light off with smart switch, the switch is still accessible physically and over the LAN, and that means the light is still accessible.
Wouldn't a better technology involve a smart switch that treats "off" as "0% brightness" so that the bulbs could still receive commands?

You could get a combination of light switches with Philips LED RGB lights OR get a Fibaro LED light switch.
