That's not exactly right. These numbers are CCP. SCP is your Submission Contribution Points, CCP is Coment Contribution Points. If I upvote you comment here you'll get 1 CCP (blue). If I downvote you, you'll get a -1(purple)

If you make a Submission(create a thread somewhere, say link to a song in v/music) and someone upvotes that you get a SCP point for that, and a downvote is again a -1. You'll see these numbers in the submission title fields and your profile.

Is there a rule about the amount you can upvote? Like how the numbers are supposed to look?

ok, the best I can find so far is from the side bar of v/introductions:

Contribution Points

Note you have two kinds of contribution points, one for Submission Contribution Points (SCP) and one for Comment Contribution Points (CCP). You are going to want to increase your CCP in order to unlock downvoting abilities and enable expanded upvoating abilities. That means you need to interact with other users, just so you know.

Once you hit 20 CCP, you get 100 upvoats per day. Downvotes are enabled when you reach 100 cumulative CCP.

Votes are associated with your IP address. That means you cannot vote on the same post or comment using alternate accounts. Only the first vote will be counted.

Thats the best I can find right now

Yeah there is. It depends on the points you have. And I don't have all this memorized. I think until you get 20 pts you get 10 upvotes. And then you get a few more(I can't remember how many). And then when you get to 100 pts you get downvotes. Let me see if I can find this stuff real quick, and Ill reply here again. And I'll give you an up to get you started :)
