@pangaea - if you have true illegal content that should and must be removed from the modlog, I recommend that you ping PuttitOut at or near that comment that needs to be removed, PM him with the permalink, and send him an email with all the pertinents letting him know that you have illegal content that must be removed at the earliest. Looks like @dumb_comment_bot has also suggested that you contact where ever the content may be hosted and this is a good move too. Hope this helps -- let me know if there's any other way I can help.

So would /u/PuttItOut be one of the site-wide admins with the ability to remove an illegal image posted to my sub?

If them or any other site-wide admins are viewing this comment: the situation occurred in /v/RFH. I tried to delete the image but it is still accessible in the submission modlog so any further help in removing it would be appreciated. The site they uploaded it to doesn't appear to have any removal procedure. Should be easy enough to find as it is the only submission which I have ever removed from that sub as of right now.

Yes - he is THE only site wide admin now and is the only one with the access/authority/keys to remove the content. I just pushed an urgent email to him and I am also messaging the hostsite now.

If there are any other mods out there who happen to run into a similar issue, contacting PuttitOut to remove via the methods I outlined is the best procedure.

Report it wherever it is hosted as well

What if the place it's posted to has no such option? And can I somehow delete something from the modlog if it has illegal content?

imgoat and imgtc are both made by voaters, @discoball and @jmtullock2 respectively. They could help you with that. They would want to get that cp off their host as well.

As far as I know there is no way to remove something from the modlog, probably because that would defeat the purpose. I guess if you spam something with an alt and delete it over and over you could flood the modlog and after page 19 it would become invisible but thats like hundreds of posts.

@cynabuns any ideas?
