Sounds cool ... I'll give ya a sticky for a few so you can get some good advice from our folks here. Also checkout v/ar15 ... lots of good build info there, too. Enjoy!

If you don't have a drill press it can easily be done w/ a quality router. There's tons of vids on youtube. That's how I did mine.

I purchased the router jig so that's the route I'm going. What router did you end up using? Any specific one or just whatever you had laying around?

I used a drill press and it worked perfectly. My buddy tried a drill press on his and he blew out the side so be careful

Buddy one did his with a CnC machine. He builds equipment for nuke plants. It jams.

Buddy two did his with a router. Ugly inside. Works in IT. Goes bang every time he pulls the trigger and it's never jammed.

I have no idea if this means anything, I just think its funny.

My advice is to double check all your bit adjustments and make sure the collets are tight every time. I goofed one up pretty bad by not doing that, and the second one looks really good. Take it slow and don't ever get into the mind set that you're just going to finish it before the night is over. Do a little bit, walk away and come back. It's worth it.
