He ran for mayor of his liberal city, Carmel, in California on a platform to overturn a ban on ice cream parlors. And he won. He was paid $200 a year for the job.

Not many are after 70, let alone nearly 75.

Gun buyback programs: paying taxes to pay the salaries of government workers to come and give you back part of your own money in exchange for disarming yourself, divesting yourself of a valuable asset, and surrendering your rights.

And there are (((some people))) on here who would agree that getting castrated because your neighbors have too many kids is a good thing. Everyone should be a good goy

There's a missing part of the analogy: Someone then steals money from your neighbours to pay you for having done so.

We actually did this crap when I was in Iraq in 2004. The locals were bringing us rusted pieces of garbage and were getting $150 in return. We were practically funding the insurgency.

This is why I love buybacks, firearms tinkerers can get paid to dispose of failed prototypes.

Gun buyback? More like here take this $40 Bryco Jennings .22 and give me $200 so I can go buy something better

They're starting to base sales off of looks now, so a 2x4 with a pipe on it won't fetch full price.

I know a guy who sold off his 10-year-long pistol carbine development and mounted rails on everything. Went out and bought some airsoft lookalike shit on ebay, and when all was said and done he walked away with $3500 in cash and gift cards. Private money too, buying his most impressive gun-shaped pieces of scrap.

I read that in his voice and it was awesome. I do have two extra shotguns and a rifle to sell. I'd still have enough for me and a couple dozen friends.
