Yeah I posted on the site about what he could do with all that money.

I'm conflicted on this, because I do think that's a lot of tax payer money. At the same time hitting the pocket books is the only way to make these groups knock this off. Especially the social progressives that have invaded public schools.

Get him his damaged prospects money, then pay a little for court costs and having to go through all this. Anything after that is just greed in this case. Not as if the mother and him won't be paying into the same tax they are trying to take from in this instance.

It's called punitive damages. In a case like this, you don't just want to be reimbursed what you're owed, you want to make the organization hurt badly enough that they won't consider doing what they did again. It's a deterrent.
