It is sickening but in a way, having the other side represented by their students sort of evens it out in the mind of the public, and tells people that children aren't unanimous in their belief that guns should be banned.

People generally have this assumption that kids have unadulterated purity, making it a debate rather than simply a victim cry from only one side removes that for people who are willing to listen.

I think the first stone was cast by the left with David Hogg, if they hadn't done that, I doubt anyone would be pushing for a pro-gun kid to speak up first.
