Not when he is calling for bump stock bans and age restrictions.

That’s incredibly wrong.

Trump is just another politician talking out of both sides of his mouth.

Omnibus Crime Control and Safe Streets Act of 1968 (1968): Prohibited interstate trade in handguns, increased the minimum age to 21 for buying handguns. Age restrictions are old news. And honestly make sense. Remember the law is for purchasing guns, not using them. Personally, I'd want to buy and teach my kids how to use fire arms. I'm excited to take my son hunting. But does that mean I want my 14 walking into a store and buying a 12-gauge with out me? Hell no. That boy is my responsibility until he is an adult. Now the law says you are an adult at 18, so all fire arm purchase should be to adults 18 years or older. I would fully oppose a law limiting the age in which you may operate a fire arm.

Adults should be able to purchase whatever firearm or firearm accessories they like.

If someone is old enough at 18 to go die for for their politicians in a country we have no business invading with fully automatic SBRs they are old enough to drink and they are old enough to buy a semi-automatic long gun.

There are already age restrictions. If we are going to have them it should be the same for all guns. Instead of 21 for some and 18 for others. Make it 18 for all. Not to mention this is for purchase. Not like it prevents from teaching kids to shoot or hunt.

The talk on bump stocks and age restrictions is bad. However, i will wait to see what actually happens. Trump said a lot of stuff about DACA he clearly had no intention of doing. People freaked out about him saying hed amnesty the Daca beaners and zero came of it. I'm hoping he's just throwing a rhetorical bone to them while the outrage machine is at its peak before backing away from those positions once the circus has died down a bit.

I've spoken to five teachers about this and only one of them is willing to carry a gun while in school. One thing he told me was, "Believe me. You don't want some of these assholes carrying."
I think as long as we're not forcing teachers to carry we should b OK.

You live in a cucked area? I know plenty of teachers that would carry.

Seriously, its like no one here has ever even met a teacher before. I've only met a few that I would trust would a gun. I wouldn't want a vast majority to be carrying. I would put a lot more trust in principals and administrators than in the teachers themselves.

I prefer the idea of veterans doing the job instead of paid school safety officers.

good/fair point. I think arming teachers is def. too much too soon. Armed guards would be better for now

If he knew some cops he would be saying the same thing about them too.

We both know cops and we've both said that about them.

If they did carry do you think it would be locked away somewhere safe and quickly accessible while managing 20 terrified kids? On their belt able to be taken by an upset kid? in their desk unsecured and available to kids? or in their purse and again available to kids?

Well since 18 is took young, when will 21 be too young? Then What? 25? Well, you can barely rent a car at 25, so maybe let's move the age to 30. Yeah. That's a nice number, except now you have your own young children in your house, and guns are dangerous, so let's move it to 35. Nah. Let's do 40. Now your body is broken down and you barely have a chance to fight back. Perfect.

Hell, when I was 12 I was hiking through the woods hunting deer. My gun never once caused me to shoot anyone or anything I wasn't trying to shoot. People have gone insane!

Maybe the problem here is that kids aren't equipped or allowed to deal with their own problems anymore. They are taught that instead of fighting back against a bully they are supposed to get a teacher or other authority figure to sort it out for them. The problem is that these authority figures aren't always there and the bullying simply continues out of their view leaving the child incapable of following the recourse that they were brought up to follow. So the kid ends up going to counseling and being put on medication before eventually going back and attacking the establishment that caused them so much trauma through setting them up for failure.

My comment from two days ago.

You have to remember, liberals have a very poor concept of impulse control. Because they believe they would go shooting everyone in massive rampage mode, ala GTA5, they wrongly assume everyone else will. Ironically, most liberals have no idea who owns a gun, because people who own guns dont shout it from the rooftops. They could search through the FBI, but this would become painful, when they go through gun transfers, sales, gifts, inheritances, etc to find out who "owns" a gun. We also have proof that giving guns to "Approved" people can turn deadly when those people turn against the people. In all, if we followed liberal ideas, we would be a defenseless, brown populaiton, just waiting to be assaulted(Which is the case in some areas already)

But 12 year old you probably wasn’t walking around the woods with an AR-15. Apparently those just go crazy and start killing people.

You can't rent a car because car rental companies have to insure those cars and the insurance companies would drive their rates through the roof if they had to insure for 18 year olds. And you can't rent to younger due to the fact minors can't be liable to sign the contracts that go with a car rental.

The age to buy and own is already 25 in Brazil, with talks for 30 to carry.

Imagine not being armed and being a white teacher in these nigger infested ghetto schools? Lots of that goes on with the student loan situations. Working off your student loan via being a teacher is a thing. They have to hijack people into teaching via the loans because these nignog schools are nightmares from school hell.

If there are shit kids, you can thank the shit parents. How about some accountability for adults if their damn kids go off the reservation like that?

I will be strongly pushing Comprehensive Background Checks with an emphasis on Mental Health. Raise age to 21 and end sale of Bump Stocks! Congress is in a mood to finally do something on this issue - I hope!

Those are already things that exist in law, it is throwing everyone for a loop because so few people know the laws.

And the agencies will start targeting the teachers to do the shootings instead of the students. It's all going according to plan. When public schooling started we didn't have the resources we have to today. Unless the underlying symptoms can be fixed that cause people to act in this way, perhaps it's time to call it a wrap. It served its purpose, maybe it's time to move one. Although such an idea isn't going to instantly take off just because I post some comment here on Voat, so in the meantime, enjoy more shootings. :-/
