I didn't notice that until I read this. I know a lot of stuff vibrates at high frame rates, but I wonder if a thicker axe head would do the same.

There is a gadget, called a dial test indicator that lets you "see" the soft, squishyness of steel. Important when you are doing precision machining.

Bullet was off center, so the right fragment had more mass. The unequal forces caused the wiggle.

The .45 is just copper jacket over a lead alloy which is very soft. It won’t chip most things.
