I'm not sure who's quote it is, but I remember my dad using it multiple times throughout my childhood:

"God created man, but it took Smith and Wesson to make them equal."

I always heard it as "God created all men, but Samuel Colt made them equal."

Colt is the more popular saying but some people say Smith and Wesson instead because they had better guns.

My dad had a thing too. When people would talk about martial arts, he would say "I know kadou.".

"What's that?"

"Where you take 3 steps back, pull your gun and KADOU, KADOU."

I love my dad.

If she watches him violently murder someone it might get her going for at least a little while.

Pretty sure she's still not going to fuck the scrawny dude.

She will because of the implications.

Beta hate?

I'd say so. At that range, alpha has pretty good chances of wiping that beta's smug look off his face. Having a gun doesn't make you not a beta.

Chad there is close enough that soyboy is going to eat that gun. Don't let an assailant get within 27 feet, or a knife (or a fist) can be just as dangerous as a gun.

Or something like that. It's about the distance an assailant can cover in the time it takes you to aim and shoot.

A fist coming flying 27 feet towards me would be very scary

Unless you live in the One Piece universe, then it's totally normal.

This phrase isn't meant to say physical fitness. Survival is meant in the long term as which group can successfully live and reproduce successfully.

More important than physical fitness is fitting your biological niche.

A swole musclebound sloth is no good. It won't be able to eat enough to maintain mass. Stringy sinew works better.

Many birds rely on bizarre non physically mating rituals to attract a mate. Physical fitness isn't a key factor there.

Then again there stallions that fight to keep their harem so there's a physical test there.

Came here to say this but in fewer words. Survival of the fittest doesn't necessarily mean the strongest. Most fit or suitable for for their environment / place in the world, however you want to put it.

Many people forget that mate selection makes up a significant portion of the "survivors" pie.
