I remember several times when the teachers had to announce that students should take the shotguns out of the rack in the back window of their trucks. Apparently some of the parents who had moved to our small town from California were concerned. We all thought it would be better if they simply moved back to California.

Little did you expect that California would export its culture to the rest of the country, where now you'll be expelled and arrested if you have a pen knife under the seat of your parked car.

Yeah, we would have been a lot better off exporting small town America to the rest of the country. I haven't been close enough to that town in a while to know for sure, but I'll bet if you looked in the trunks of cars or behind the seat in trucks you'd still find more than a couple have shotguns or deer rifles stashed away. I never appreciated my home town until I had to leave it.

Fifty years of demonizing masculinity and all things male, while simultaneously glorifying femininity and all things female has brought us to the present day.

A "conversation" about american masculinity will be more demonizing masculinity and all things male, while simultaneously glorifying femininity and all things female.

Obviously treating men/masculinity as sub human monsters is the exact opposite of what the last fifty years should have been like. Continuing to pour poison upon the boatloads of poison that's poured upon men/masculinity on a daily basis will yield poison.

Poison in, poison out. How could anything else be expected? If you kick a dog every day and yell at it you will get a violent dog. If you kick men every day and yell at them you will get violent men.

Are you sure want want to berate men for their masculinity? Or will this be the day you say, "I will praise men for their masculinity since pouring poison on men yeilded only poison in return."

simultaneously glorifying femininity

I wouldn't put it that way,

They've disenfranchised feminine qualities too.

Leftist thought has run with turning the sexes into caricatures of themselves, so boys think to be masculine means being an abusive asshole, and girls think being feminine means being a push over or lacking ambition.

It's true the sexes have specific failure modes (also true of racial categories), but they obsess on exclusively that and ignore the positive qualities.

Good point. Women are supposed to act like men and men like women. The whole point really seems to be to keep everyone failing and thus open to control.

All in the name of diversity too. Liberals don't get irony.

Shooting clubs were once common in American schools. There are still some around. but they're much less common.

I feel like the world would be a safer place if people were allowed to protect themselves and people they care about that way. If people were encouraged to be the protectors of younger people.

We need this again, especially in churches.

Be curious what school it was. Went to school in Delaware and even all those years ago it was pretty cucked when they punished me for defending myself against criminal thief niggers.

This would have been my high school in mid 80s. Only difference would depend on the season, musket, bow, shotgun, or rifle.
