I've heard that Bernie Sanders is pro-gun, but I've also seen some claims that he voted for stricter background check and training requirements when purchasing a firearm. Does anyone have any information on the Senator's voting history on firearm related bills?

Edit: Here's an article from Slate calling him a "gun-nut", which makes me want to support him a bit more, as a veteran, gun-owner, and fellow socialist.

With how liberal he is, even though Vermont is gun friendly legally, there are a metric fuck ton of hippies there who would happily give up their rights sadly enough.

I want to move to New Hampshire (Free State Project) but dang, we need to save Vermont too so hopefully once New Hampshire is safe we can go help them.

It doesn't take much for Slate to call someone a gun nut. He voted for the AWB in the 90's and said he would vote for it again, and in fact he did but it didn't pass. http://votesmart.org/candidate/27110/bernie-sanders?categoryId=37&type=V,S,R,E,F,P#.VYM2zUbp8bC

Maybe someone who pays closer attention to politics can answer this for me. Which republican front runner is the most likely to pass pro-gun legislation?

Mmmmmmmmm, Top of my head: Walker has passed proguns bills as governor, Paul is on record as being very progun, Cruise probably would but I don't think it's anything like a priority, Perry is progun gun and carries. Rubio has a carry license but doesn't carry. Ben Carson came out for an AWB in some circumstances but has flipped.

I actually met Rand Paul at Knob Creek during an event for ar15.com. It was pretty unusual to have a politician show up for such a thing.
