[–] cynicaloldfart 0 points 5 points (+5|-0) ago

So nice to hear from you. Take some time for yourself and do some relaxing.

[–] Deshy 0 points 5 points (+5|-0) ago

Hugs, thank you Sir!

[–] crazy_eyes [S] 0 points 3 points (+3|-0) ago

It could have been super dooper!

I don't hear anything!!!

[–] crazy_eyes [S] 0 points 8 points (+8|-0) ago

Last week someone said they wanted to hear my friend Verle singing AC/DC. So while I was at his house last night I got the link of theBuddha and his wife playing an AC/DC song and I had Verle sing along with it. I sang too, just to try to keep him on track. Here's TNT By Verle and theBuddha and Biff

[–] CheeBooga 0 points 5 points (+5|-0) ago

Play some ADCD, MAN! Did I mention I'm dislexus?

[–] OoklaTheMok111 0 points 5 points (+5|-0) ago

Crazy, can you play Motörhead - "Ace of Spades" or "Heroes"? Verle's voice would be perfect for Ace of Spades.

[–] MrHarryReems 0 points 4 points (+4|-0) ago

Verle would be perfect for Ace of Spades!!!

[–] crazy_eyes [S] 0 points 3 points (+3|-0) ago

I will learn it!

[–] BrennKommando 0 points 2 points (+2|-0) ago

Killed by death!!!

[–] TheBuddha 0 points 5 points (+5|-0) ago

Hey, I can understand the words! Maybe that's 'cause I know what they're supposed to be.

Well, there he went...

LOL @ him doing "Watch me explode!" He seemed particularly overjoyed to be singing that line. I'm pretty sure I can hear his headbanging.

[–] crazy_eyes [S] 0 points 4 points (+4|-0) ago

The watch me explode was his favorite part!

[–] nigger_plz 0 points 4 points (+4|-0) ago

To quote the great Bevis and Butthead, eh eh eh that was cool.

[–] crazy_eyes [S] 0 points 3 points (+3|-0) ago

Thanks I will let him know!

[–] InClownWorldSellPnut 0 points 8 points (+8|-0) ago

Been working on the chromatic melody of our times.

Also here is a fuzzy improv solo thing. Sloppy as all heck but better than than what I posted here a year ago I think.

[–] MrHarryReems 0 points 7 points (+7|-0) ago

Nice! I think I may have had exactly the same reaction as @crazy_eyes!

[–] heygeorge 0 points 7 points (+7|-0) ago

Nice! Thanks for sharing!

[–] crazy_eyes [S] 0 points 6 points (+6|-0) ago

The first one made me laugh. I like the second one. Cool jams.

[–] cynicaloldfart 0 points 6 points (+6|-0) ago

The first one certainly is appropriate. The fuzz one is rockin' for sure. Thanks for sharing, always good to hear from you.

[–] crazy_eyes [S] 0 points 7 points (+7|-0) ago

I got one more of Verle singing AC/DC for you all to hear. Back in Black This is like the other one where we used a recording of the song that had been previously shared here on the FNGT that theBuddha and his wife Biff had played. We just cranked it on Verles stereo and I had just hooked up a karaoke machine his room mate just got to an amp and a set of stereo speakers. It was so fucking loud.

[–] CheeBooga 0 points 1 point (+1|-0) ago

I want to hear him sing 'What a wonderful world'!!!

[–] theysayso 0 points 7 points (+7|-0) ago

Hey dudes and dudettes, I created a new song called, "It's Friday Night". I play the acoustic, bass, and slide resonator on this track. A friend of mine played the violin, and my wife and the engineer took care of the drums/percussion.

[–] MrHarryReems 0 points 5 points (+5|-0) ago

This is great! Super fun song, and well done!

[–] theysayso 0 points 5 points (+5|-0) ago

Thanks for the listen. Appreciate it.

[–] cynicaloldfart 0 points 5 points (+5|-0) ago

Now that's a toe-tapping, boot-scooter for sure. Excellent job by all, the wife beats those skins well. Glad you posted this.

[–] theysayso 0 points 5 points (+5|-0) ago

Thanks - appreciate that

[–] crazy_eyes [S] 0 points 4 points (+4|-0) ago

Excellent rollicking song! Sounds great! Thanks for sharing this!

[–] heygeorge 0 points 4 points (+4|-0) ago

Nice stuff! Do you gig out with this material?

[–] theysayso 0 points 5 points (+5|-0) ago

Not as a band. Just solo acoustic. I was planning on putting some dates together this summer, but then.... covid.

[–] Mustard_of_puppets 0 points 7 points (+7|-0) ago

Hey guys, I just got in from fishing, I don't have anything this week, I've been busy as hell, my kid graduated elementary school and is off to high school in the fall.

I figure since I posted late last week that I'll just repost that stuff for now and maybe I'll find time to whip something out later on and make a late post again.

Here's Tyler Childer All Your'n https://clyp.it/2uhx3ahd and a dirty little jam https://clyp.it/szcjpjlt

[–] nigger_plz 0 points 5 points (+5|-0) ago

That jam is really good. I was groovin' to it.

[–] Mustard_of_puppets 0 points 4 points (+4|-0) ago

I should upload more things like that, I make up things like that all the time, just stick a guitar in my hands n something equal to or better then that's going to naturally come out. As long as I can find a cool groove with my picking hand, the fretting hand knows what to do and I'm good to go.

This one actually came about because of the other one, I have this really shitty but awesome capo, there's pics and a story about it in my last weeks post. anyways the capo is spring tensioned, and the springs are old and worn so it sounds really chimey and kind of dirty, but cool at the same time, so after I recorded The All Your'n song, I just hit record and gave it a jam because I liked the chimeyness and the overtones and half dead notes.

I like recording full songs and singing but that's a for me thing because I'm trying to learn how to sing, but if you guys want some nasty ass jams, I can probably throw one or 2 in every week too. maybe even bust out my electric and looping pedal again. I even have a bass I never play. The jamming stuff is easy for me. It's pretty much my natural resting phase when I'm holding a guitar.

[–] MrHarryReems 0 points 5 points (+5|-0) ago  (edited ago)

Reeally dig All Your'n! Haven't gotten to the second piece yet, but All Your'n has a killer feel to it.

Edit: Just listened to dirty little jam, and it's got a great groove to it!

[–] Mustard_of_puppets 0 points 4 points (+4|-0) ago

It's a great song, it pretty much sings itself to it was easy to work with, I completly winged it all, I watched a live video and he doesn;t even play his guitar the actual song is mostly the band, like a piano n fiddle n shit and he just stands there and sings, so I took the chord and lyric sheet looked for a groove that fit for an intro and just rolled with it, I think that was maybe my 5th time going through the song, I figured out a groove for the intro, then I just straight read the lyrics one time and then just tried rolling through it, I probably would have done it in one take, but I kept choking on the word "your'n" I kept saying "yours"

[–] crazy_eyes [S] 0 points 4 points (+4|-0) ago

Didn't you do that all your'n one last week? Or something. I seem to remember it from somewhere. I think it was you. And that jamming is cool as hell

[–] Mustard_of_puppets 0 points 4 points (+4|-0) ago

Ya this week was a repost because it was really late last week, I did do a new one though the me and big dave tonight.

[–] Mustard_of_puppets 0 points 6 points (+6|-0) ago

Alright I finally had time to sit down for a few minutes so I did a one shot bang as I learned a song,Here's Me and Big Dave by Colter Wall https://clyp.it/ghcraunj This ones rough and I didn't learn the solo but had it sort of half in my head and found a tab so mid recording I switched tabs and tried playing it and reading a tab on sight and I fucked it up first go and did kind of good enough the 2nd try, I was going to edit it and cut that part out but I don't know how to do that and I'm too drunk and high to learn right now.

[–] nigger_plz 0 points 5 points (+5|-0) ago

That's a pretty song. Love those lilting type waltzes.

[–] Mustard_of_puppets 0 points 4 points (+4|-0) ago

To me this kind of stuff is hard and challenging, because it's slow and it needs to breathe, I didn;t even notice it's a waltz until right now but it's even in 3/4 timing isn't it? I don't do theory so I don't really notice things like that right away.

[–] crazy_eyes [S] 0 points 4 points (+4|-0) ago

Thats sounded pretty good. I don't think I've ever heard that song before. Did you forget what you were playing in the middle there for a second?

[–] Mustard_of_puppets 0 points 4 points (+4|-0) ago

This is pure 1 take, I had to learn the solo on the fly, I had another tab open and literally switched and sight read it as it is on the recording, I fucked upt he first go, and the 2nd's not right either, but it's the best I could do in like 12 seconds and I figure it worked out alright, I was going to edit it and cut that section out but I don't actually know how to do that and I figured it's real so I'll leave it in.

But ya that's me 100% learning a song + small solo in one bang while drunk and high as fuck.

[–] MrHarryReems 0 points 6 points (+6|-0) ago

@nigger_plz, Matty Groves was a great recommendation! I did a ton of research, and I'm about 3/4 of the way through working up an arrangement. It might even have a bitchin' solo for @TheBuddha...

[–] nigger_plz 0 points 4 points (+4|-0) ago  (edited ago)

After I posted that reply I was thinking that I recommended that to you before. It seems like I didn't.

Can't wait to hear your version. To be honest, I don't listen to the outro of the Fairport Convention version because the song/lyrics are way better than that long outro. I used to listen to the outro but I would tune it out mentally.

I think that girl sang with Zeppelin. Not sure which song.

[–] cynicaloldfart 0 points 1 point (+1|-0) ago

That was Sandy Denny, she did The Battle of Evermore and was the only one to sing on a Zep record.

[–] TheBuddha 0 points 2 points (+2|-0) ago

All songs should have a bitchin' solo. All of 'em.
