Interesting. Since I don't have the in-depth knowledge you have, let me ask a few questions. Obviously acoustic guitars are very dependent on the woods and construction to produce their tone. But with an electric guitar and magnetic pickups, how much does the body matter in producing tone? Is the difference you can hear on electrics due mainly to the pickups and strings, and how much is dependent on the construction of the body?

Woods do matter, or can matter. There are tone woods in a guitar, that's their name.

But, guitars can be made from many different materials and still sound good.

Different materials will have differing resonating frequencies even within their material group. See the many different tones generated with metal/alloy body acoustics.

But, with an electric, you have quite a bit that you can do with quality hardware. So, electronics are absolutely a factor and different hardware is better for different tones.

Surprisingly, the neck is also influential. It's actually where 70% of the string resonates against. So, you can do a lot there.

Make sense?

I thought that it is normal guitar with 3d printed shell outside, but on that channel there is video "Making a 3D Printed Guitar" and it is really 3d printed. Cool

Yeah, it looks like it may be interesting. I'm probably going to find someone to make me one. I'll do some looking soon.

It may be not so easy as it is done in SLS technology which is quite expensive in comparison to FDM printing

Very cool! The difference is subtle and could be negated by just adding some light effects in my opinion.

I'm probably going to order one.

Just print one

@cynicaloldfart and @crazy_eyes may find this interesting.
