I should really rewrite this intro:
It's that time again, a time when we get together and share our work, talk about performing, talk about practice, ask questions, and see if we can push ourselves to new levels of enjoyment. The most important thing is that we enjoy ourselves.
Some of us play for fun. Some of us are professionals. Some of us play with our friends. Some of us are just learning. Some of us don't even really play at all. It doesn't matter, we want to hear you play as well as you can - or just play.
I don't care if you play a kazoo - I want to hear it and, if history is any guide, the rest of the folks who frequent this thread also want to hear it. So, no matter what you play, come share it with us. If we like the song, we'll sing along when we all get to the chorus!
Grab your guitar and your cell phone - and play us a song. Sing for us! Play a piano. Make electronic music. Play a kazoo, blow a trumpet, bang a xylophone! We don't mind - we want to hear all of it, not just guitar.

Hello everyone. Happy Friday night and Merry Christmas! My friend Christopher, who I play along with while he sings on a lot of my submissions has not made it over by me since around Thanksgiving, so it's been a while since we got to jam. I was talking to him the other day and he sent me a link to a song that he wanted to have me share with you guys tonight. He said it's a Christmas song. It's not really done in the traditional Christmas spirit. I'm not sure what it even has to do with Christmas, maybe it takes place on Christmas. Maybe you can tell me. Here is Christopher playing and singing a Woody Guthrie song, the 1913 Massacre

That was very nice. Good recording too. He has a voice that fits the song.

I love that song. Real as real can get. Back in the day, they would try to unionize and Rockefeller would go in there and send goons like punk ass prisoners and kill at will just so he didn't have to pay miners decent wages. Woody Guthrie was the man at spreading the word.
Bound For Glory is a good movie. Shows how Guthrie would ride the rails and be among the hobos playing for workers trying to spread the word about unions.
Chris knows some damn good stuff.
