I should really rewrite this intro:
It's that time again, a time when we get together and share our work, talk about performing, talk about practice, ask questions, and see if we can push ourselves to new levels of enjoyment. The most important thing is that we enjoy ourselves.
Some of us play for fun. Some of us are professionals. Some of us play with our friends. Some of us are just learning. Some of us don't even really play at all. It doesn't matter, we want to hear you play as well as you can - or just play.
I don't care if you play a kazoo - I want to hear it and, if history is any guide, the rest of the folks who frequent this thread also want to hear it. So, no matter what you play, come share it with us. If we like the song, we'll sing along when we all get to the chorus!
Grab your guitar and your cell phone - and play us a song. Sing for us! Play a piano. Make electronic music. Play a kazoo, blow a trumpet, bang a xylophone! We don't mind - we want to hear all of it, not just guitar.

Hello, and welcome to another wonderful edition of the FNGT. Like normal, I'll go ahead and get you started.
This week, I'm going to cut to the chase.
This is my understudy, in whom I am well pleased. This is her midterm, in effect. Both guitar parts are her's and the drumming is based on her direction. She would like you to hear it - probably for compliments! ;-)
It is not without error. However, it's still pretty fucking impressive. I am legitimately impressed. I hope that you are also as impressed, because she put a fuckton of work into this. I would wager that she has 50 or 60 hours into this one project, total. She says she has no idea. That's not helpful!
Anyhow, it doesn't need much more introduction. Turn your volume up. Trust me. EH pretty much has one favorite sound at the moment, and it's best played with some volume. She has putting scales together nicely. She pays attention. Enjoy!

Psst... That's what you get when you put your hours in. My only real part is playing the drum as she asked. She does not know drum notation or anything - yet.
Finally, I can't be certain how late I can stay tonight. I have people and I am also exhausted. So, it's probably not going to be that long. I'll try to do two hours.

I think those little ones are called leprechaun notes, dancing around the bigger ones.

The drum one looks like it might be for a guy with a bass drum strapped to his chest. The top of the line is one hand, under the line is the other.

That looks like a 4/4 march with rototoms, maybe?

Wow, this is freaking awesome. I am very impressed. She plays better than I do already!
Edit: I almost forgot

I fucking told you!
EH laughed. Thanks, she says. She goes on to say she didn't make it perfect, but she practiced hard. I'm no typing it out verbatim. I still haven't slept.
[–] TheBuddha [S] 0 points 4 points 4 points (+4|-0) ago
She just saw the edited flowers. She says thanks again. I half expected her to say "Good."

Different strokes for different folks. You have a style all your own that's great, and fills a special place.
[–] cynicaloldfart 0 points 5 points 5 points (+5|-0) ago (edited ago)
This is absolutely stupendous!! You just keep getting better, and better, and better. Artist/Songwriter/Producer/Engineer. Your talent, dedication, and perseverance are so incredible. Especially from about 2:20 on, THAT's a bitchin' solo! You are the Queen of Crunky and you better get used to this sound, you'll be hearing a lot of it. What a gift you are. XXXOOO.@--<-<-- @--<-<-- @--<--<-

"Thank you! Look carefully!" EH
I don't need to add anything. This is her work. I had issues staying stable on a drum stool! She told me what kind of drum she wanted and where. It was cryptic language that she used, including the word 'crunky' many times. We finally worked out what it was she wanted. She needs to learn to play the snare.

EH!
Bravo!
Compelling enough that I wanted to listen again! You are really getting somewhere... Not as if you need me to tell you. You rock: Keep putting in your hours and you will slay! TB is right to be proud.
[–] TheBuddha [S] 0 points 4 points 4 points (+4|-0) ago
Also, fuckin' right, I'm proud. However, I'm trying to make sure it's about her!
I might be preening more like a peacock than her, at least momentarily.
I am gonna have a glass of wine and then probably go be sociable and then go to bed.
Wine is a delightful idea.
In Vino Veritas.
[–] TheBuddha [S] 0 points 3 points 3 points (+3|-0) ago
"Thank you!" She then went on to tell you it was quite a bit of work, and it was.
Her ears have made significant improvement. She'll damage her hearing soon enough.
