There is a band that we played with at a festival last year called, 'The Town Pants'. The guitar player was operating a kick drum, playing guitar, and singing harmonies. He broke a string and replaced the frigging string in the middle of the song while maintaining the kick and the harmonies! Amazing stuff, I tell you.

Not all musicians are technically gifted with the ability to do handy work.

You're not bragging about the song, his voice, his talent, his musicianship, the good times you had with him, his playing, or linking to it, you're just talking about how good the performer is at fixing broken equipment.. WTF?

Jesus.

When I perform I only want them talking about one thing.

My voice.

Its also permissible to talk about the stellar tactics of my guitarist's playing, but if someone talked about his STRINGS or how he fixes broken items instead of his obvious talent then he'd get a talk - a long serious talk..
