I go through a lot, if I'm performing. They're disposable, in the way I use them. They crack, split, chip, etc... I'm also fond of tossing them out by the small handful to the audience. I carry a fine felt tip pen and will initial them after the show. No, I don't know why they want my autograph. I'm a nobody in a cover band and they'll have forgotten my name by Monday, but they do and it makes them happy. So, I do it.
I'll go through as many as fifty at a show. At home, they might last a few hours before I toss them. So, I'll go through one a day when doing heavy practice. I have boxes of different styles, thicknesses, and colors. I prefer lighter colors, as they are easier to sign. The audience likes it.

You should look into getting your band name or logo printed on some picks. People love a souvenir money can't buy, so if they have to catch one, it feels like a special moment. Plus you can still sign the other side of the pick.

That's actually a good idea! I could at least get the initials done. I can check with the guy doing our logos and see if he can make a small one that'll fit well on a pick.
That's brilliant, thanks!

Crazy how you go through so many. ;) Is it hard to sign a guitar pick, you are almost like semi famous. What's your favorite kind of guitar pick, not to sign but to play with? How many hundreds or thousands of them do you have? How much do they cost you?

I just scribble my initials on them. I'm not even remotely famous - players like me are a dime a dozen. I don't worry about the brand, I worry about the thickness. Anything with a textured grip and below 1 mm is where I start - usually. That will vary depending on how I want to play and the music that I'm trying to recreate. I have no idea how many I have? I haven't counted 'em. A lot. LOL I have several boxes including some boxes that are mixed from smaller boxes.
