I don't watch much in the way of typical movies, but that one piques my interest.

Rough synopsis. Young wannabe writer gets a try-out with RS and follows a band around on tour. Allusions to real-life bands and the character PSH portrays, as well as the young writer, is based on Cameron Crowe, who I consider to have been a worthy writer in the early days of RS.

Glad to hear on the progress and as I said I'd rather wait for quality than quickness. I'm sure it will be a masterful piece, and will probably spark a lot of Goats discussion.

LOL Maybe? Goats are usually more inclined to discuss politics, race, and religion. But, it'll likely spark conversations with the goats with whom I prefer to converse. There's a few goats whom I've actually chosen to put on my ignore list. This has actually helped immensely. I don't actually know how they've taken this. I do know it has helped my experience be more enjoyable.

I've been online since before there was a world wide web for the public. Voat is pretty much the only place I've used the ignore list. I didn't even use a kill file to plonk usenet users. It might be that my patience has worn thin. It might also be that we have more uneducated people online.

Yes, also I (I'm not using a MeToo tag). Every once in a while I get off my stool here in the Pub and go out the back door into the alley. Most of it is just a bunch of dumpsters full of garbage but every once in a while a pretty bird, a nice dog, or a friendly face passes by. But it is sometimes tempting to think "This is nice, I need to come out here more often". Just the other day I made a comment on a post about the AF1 refrigerators, but quickly went back and deleted it. The submitter PM'd me and asked why I deleted it and said it was a good comment. This was my reply:

Because I really dislike getting into a long discussion on these types of topics. I'm not sure why I even replied, maybe the outrage at the situation. But I'm too old, jaded, and cynical to want to have this type of discussion (which needs to happen but by other, younger goats). I protested Tricky Dick at one of his appearances, took to the streets when the students were murdered at Kent State, was carrying my draft card and protested the VN "police action". I've done my fair share and am now willing to keep informed but don't have the energy to actively battle anymore. It was just a momentary lapse of actually thinking I had something of value to contribute. Thanks for your understanding.

My main interest nowadays is to stay informed to try and help my kids and be a good parent/guide. I still "refuse to go quietly into that good night" but my "raging against the dying of the light" has turned to this.
