Some of us are professionals. Some of us are retired. Some of us are just learning. Some of us just play because we enjoy it.
This is your thread - and it's not just for guitarists. I don't care if you play a kazoo. I want to hear it. I will listen to every submission of personally created work - and, if history is any predictor, other people will too.
So, grab your phone and guitar and record us something. Or, if you can do better recording that that, do so!
If you don't play and want to, ask questions. If you want more information, ask questions. If you want resources, ask questions.
(I'm not going to ping people in this one - the thread's a bit late. I'll tell ya why, in a moment.)

I think Phillip S Hoffman summed it up pretty well in "Almost Famous"

For me, expando mp4's always come up muted. I have to r-click, show controls, and unmute it there.

Huh... I don't watch much in the way of typical movies, but that one piques my interest.
I've finished the rough drafts for six of them, by the way. I know there's still quite a few more to go. I don't actually know where the list ends and it may get edits and reshuffled. My approach has been almost scholarly, but it's not written as if it's an academic paper. I went for my usual writing style for conversations on various forums, which may also change.
But, it's coming along nicely! One ended up on the list in a spot that even surprised me both in their inclusion and their position. Unfortunately, I can't write the list backwards - as I'm formalizing it as I go. I know who the next 9 are going to be, but I'm not completely certain of their positions. I'm also forgetting a few, I'm sure.
I'm almost convinced this will lead to more writing on the subject. I may have to change that blog's name. LOL

Rough synopsis. Young wannabe writer gets a try-out with RS and follows a band around on tour. Allusions to real-life bands and the character PSH portrays, as well as the young writer, is based on Cameron Crowe, who I consider to have been a worthy writer in the early days of RS.
Glad to hear on the progress and as I said I'd rather wait for quality than quickness. I'm sure it will be a masterful piece, and will probably spark a lot of Goats discussion.
