Some of us are professionals. Some of us are retired. Some of us are just learning. Some of us just play because we enjoy it.
This is your thread - and it's not just for guitarists. I don't care if you play a kazoo. I want to hear it. I will listen to every submission of personally created work - and, if history is any predictor, other people will too.
So, grab your phone and guitar and record us something. Or, if you can do better recording that that, do so!
If you don't play and want to, ask questions. If you want more information, ask questions. If you want resources, ask questions.
By the way - I should start a "ping" list. If you're interested in being pinged, let me know and I'll add you to the list.

(I'm pretty sure I've forgotten some names and I've lost my list that I was keeping. If you want to be added, let me know.)
Addendum:
I'm sure I missed two usernames - please remind me so I can add it to this text file I copy out of. Also, you don't have to share music - you can just share the conversation.

Thanks for sharing!
Have you been playing long?
This thread is here every week, by the way. You're absolutely welcome and invited.

Thanks for the invitation!
I’ve been playing on and off for about 3 years now. I played a lot during my first year, but these past two years I haven’t really played all that often. Definitely want to change that this year!

This is just the thread for you. This thread is fairly new but has already given people inspiration to practice and share. I started it a few months ago, but it wasn't a regular thing. It is now a regular thing.
I'm a trained classical guitarist, but played anything but. It was my primary job, for some time. Then, I didn't have enough money, so it was my second job. Eventually, I didn't really need the money but I just kept playing. I'm retired but still gig here and there. I sit sets with a couple of local bands and they're kind enough to let me join them when I want. Covers were my stock and trade.
My job was to faithfully reproduce what you heard on the radio. So, I play with the tab, a metronome, and an electronic tuner.
My first love was percussion, and I took lessons in rudimentary drumming from about the age of five. I played in a junior drum and bugle corps and a marching band, as well as a stage band. I'd pick up guitar at about the age of 12. I'm now 60. Just 'cause I'm old doesn't mean I won't shred some Malmsteen or Satriani. I love playing Ozzy and GnR, along side Bach and Chopin.
So, there's a bit about me. I'm open to any questions. You may wish to subscribe to the sub. I frequently post resources for a variety of skill levels. I'm fond of doing a cover and sharing it plus the tab. Yeah, we are tab pirating fools in here.
Do you read tab?
