My son is doing a Science Fair Project on: "Low Flow Shower Heads - Bogus, Time Wasters, -OR- Actually Saving Water?
They are looking at doing an app that can allow people to time their showers, to get an in-the-field idea as to how much water people are actually using. Their theory is that actual shower times are longer, than that via a normal flow shower to accomplish the same shower-time-tasks. Meaning: low flow is bogus, causing us to lose precious time, and not really saving any significant amounts of water.
They could not find any research on the subject, so they decided to create their own research via an app, and as many people they could get to participate in the next 11 days.
If you would like to participate, please let me know via adding a comment here. If they get enough responses, we will then provide a link to the app to use, along with instructions. Please feel free to ask questions, too.
Thank you in advance,
Greenster (dad of one of the 8th grader sons on the project.)
