Based on my knowledge of sports physiology, I'm pretty sure this would just screw up your neural pathways and ruin your swing. Even if it didn't, I highly doubt it would improve your game much at all. The product itself seems like another one of those gimmicks that seems plausible enough to most people's reasoning, but doesn't work out in real life. If you want to get stronger in an attempt to improve your distance you're better off just doing regular strength training and continuing to practice with a regular golf club, IMO.
