This 'verse looks a bit on the dead side, but I'll give it a shot anyway. So I have a rather new GS instance, and I've noticed some odd behavior about the way remote-subscribed groups are working: only posts made by users native to the system that hosts the group are sync'ing to my instance; other remote users who post to the group are invisible unless/until I physically go to that group and read their posts. From everything I've read, this doesn't appear to be intended behavior, because the whole thing about federating groups is supposed to be the ability of remote users to converse across sync'd posts.
I'm running my instance on nginx with SSL, and I've tweaked/untweaked every setting I can think of, including running with and without queue daemons, with no change in behavior. I plan to trawl the db tonight and see if there's maybe something in there leftover from the initial setup as non-ssl. Yes, I know that's a Bad Thing (TM), but I fixed the obvious crap it leaves behind that causes you to run in mixed-mode, so I thought I was fine.
Anyone have any suggestions? Have you seen this behavior before? Is it really the way things are supposed to work, and I'm just being a moron?
