Just curious if you have any affiliation with the team over at r/globaloffensive, or if this is completely separate?
Since I'm sure a lot of us have come from there, for the time being we could try mirroring some of the top content for anyone that is keen on completely staying away from reddit.

We're completely separate.

Mirroring is fine, this is a replacement website after all.

Go ahead and mirror content...that's the exact thing we need on Voat right now...it's not reposting if it's not on the website at all! :)

Make it 600, you know. We should get the rank flairs.

They're pretty easy to implement, but voat doesn't have a flair system for users (or so it appears to be)

I suppose they'll add one soon if there's not one yet.

The mods over at /v/cfb made a CSS workaround I believe.

I'm an admin over at faceit I think one of the things you'll want to get sorted quite early on is a working flair system and a way for upsates to remain stickied, as often at faceit when we release an update we'll do it through reddit but a ton will miss it and complain that something isn't right.

same here for teamliquid staff. Sometimes our content gets the views, other times it gets flooded with useless shit.

Is there a certain post-flair for these, or is it user-flair stating you are an official part of faceit? If I'm not mistaken at the time only moderators can apply post-flair on voat as for user-flair I can do that.

Hello people came over from that other site. Anyways I would like to see an Overwatch tutorial in the future, especially for some more dubious and questionable cases. Not sure who would have to do it since we can't tell our Overwatch score.

Is there a Wiki?I Spent a lot of time in "NEW" on Reddit and a lot of the questions were the same; "I'm new, how do I get better" "What are the callouts" "How does the economy in GO work" "Why are pistols OP" etc. Most answers were just "Check out the Wiki"

I don't think Voat has a wiki system. I could set up a Wikia or something, but that could confuse people with different layouts and all.

It would be nice to have a "New Player Guide" or something similar to send players too. Looks like this sub is growing pretty fast (500 yesterday to 850 today, so far) and a lot of the same questions will start popping up.

Maybe having match discussion threads could be cool, or maybe map strat threads that get posted every so often and can be found in sidebar?

Strat threads are a great idea. We can set up a page with links to all of them.

Discussion threads can be created by anyone, so feel free to make one if you want to.

I guess we could start by adding comprehensive strat guides from top CSGO youtubers?

Like others said, i hope this focuses more on content creation and more meaningful discussion. What i sincerely hated with pure passion about the Reddit CSGO sub was how that the people there thought it was "their"game , as in , they demand changes for "their" game (i.e. 145 round/30 bomb, etc) . I really really was pissed how the changes to the game that were encouraged and discussed were ACTUALLY incorporated into the game, when theres millions of players , and that sub reddit was just a small minority of players. To change entire game mechanics ( wallbanging, sounds, gun buffs/nerfs, etc) from (what i see) one community's input baffles me. Plus, not to mention they thought they were the holiest of CSGO fans and what they ask for is what they deserve (when in actuality the CSGO player base is one of the most toxic communities ive played with).

All in all, instead of continuing the rant, what im asking for is that we focus this voat community on content creation, map/match/weapons discussion, and if we want to discuss what to implement for future patches, maybe make it a sticky instead of seeing the same thing over and over again? Thats my two cents. The Reddit CSGO sub really frustrated me...I dont want to see this subverse change into another copy cat of the reddit csgo sub, because i honestly feel they didnt contribute jack and it just became a huge circlejerk about the game along with hive mind mentality.
