Somebody put the pussy on a pedestal

Chongqing or chunking brigde China? the USA/West says they have nine lives, Turkish and Arabic traditions, the number of lives is six, Spanish say seven

Yeah.. I mostly got my fear of height under control when it comes to images or videos, but this one gave me that 'tingle' alright.

Me too 😳

those camera movements aided in depth perception and made it much more realistic. like this: https://imgur.com/gallery/ec2PW

Imagine thats your apartment and looking out.

I dont understand how people can live that high up.

let the kitty come in on her own.

Cats actually survive falls from that height much more often than just 2-5 stories. 2-5 stories is when they're going fast enough to take serious damage but haven't had the time to fully stabilize and prepare for impact. I believe it was 6+ stories up they found cats survived more often.

https://www.wired.com/story/how-can-a-cat-survive-a-high-rise-fall-physics/ here's the link too baked to read it hopefully I was remembering right

Once it hits terminal velocity, being higher won't cause any more damage

[–] PraiseIPU 0 points 1 points (+1|-0) ago

The counter argument is they ONLY counted cats that survived from the high places.

Dead cat on the ground "hmm dead cat oh well" cat with a broken leg on the ground. Better save this cat and find its owner. Hmm owner was 7 stories up.

But yes higher up they have time to spread out and slow themselves midair.

And that cat looked young. It would more than likely survive that fall

Not if you follow it with a boulder of love.

Untill it gets hit by a car on that road below.

No. No.

No.

No.

No.

My understanding of cat physics is that even at terminal velocity, they are unable to reach a fatal falling speed. They will get injured, but their surface area to mass prevents them from dying unless they have an awful landing zone.

The city isn't really a great place to land though

[–] YoHomie 0 points 2 points (+2|-0) ago

Or a bed of spikes that Yohomie put down ahead of time.

[–] lanre 1 points 1 points (+2|-1) ago

At terminal velocity apparently they relax since they aren't accelerating anymore and this aids in survival.

What scares me is a bird might fly by and she'll try to jump at it.

Or get blown by the wind
