Very little advantage to this, but a huge amount of disadvantage. It's still a large, heavy brick even when folded. A regular gun would fit into almost the same space. Because it folds, it is much weaker and more prone to failure than a regular Glock. This is a concept that is going nowhere, because it has no real purpose.

Hang on a second robber man while I unfold and load my gun lol.

It's neat... but still stupid...

This is why my switch-blade style machete failed: "SWITCHETE!"

I am very sorry I had that idea.

[–] Pawn 0 points 3 points (+3|-0) ago

not so fast liberal, this is meerely a concept. they could have it be springy and snap into position once you remove it from the holster.

[–] Kill-Commies 0 points 4 points (+4|-0) ago

Aww sheeiit it sprung across the room.

[–] Chronibus 3 points 6 points (+9|-3) ago

Problem is, it's still a fucking glock.

[–] clamhurt_legbeard 0 points 3 points (+3|-0) ago

Why is that a problem for you?

[–] saverem 1 points 1 points (+2|-1) ago

The cool thing is you can trade it in for a nice discount on a H&K . :P

[–] SorenK1844 0 points 3 points (+3|-0) ago

I can't ccw HK because my hard on gets in the way.

[–] Chronibus 1 points 0 points (+1|-1) ago

Yeah, I really want a H&K 9mm VP Tactical, but I don't have $700+ to throw around.

[–] Azzipdoe 4 points -3 points (+1|-4) ago

Oh look it's one of these guys.. too good for a glock? Fuck outta here

[–] aria_taint 0 points 3 points (+3|-0) ago

By the time you get that gobot into battle mode my Smith and Wesson shield has 3 rounds into you. I see no real advantage to this.

[–] goblin_ghost 0 points 2 points (+2|-0) ago

It's so you never have to publicly admit that you own a fucking Shield.

[–] Thegreatestname 0 points 2 points (+2|-0) ago

Pretty cool for a glove box or center console in a side by side but, as a draw and shoot weapon it's next to useless. Most people can't even operate the slide properly(short stroke) in a SHTF situation.

[–] IAMA_WhiteMale_AMA 1 points 2 points (+3|-1) ago

Glocks are too fat for concealed carry. I got the baby Glock, which has a shorter barrel and grip, but is still just as thick because of the way bullets are stacked in Glock magazines. And thickness matters more than length. So instead of being a best of both worlds thing, it sucks at both conceal carry and handling well when shooting.

Tldr: get two handguns.

[–] meowmix56 0 points 2 points (+2|-0) ago

This hasn't been true for several years now. The glock 26 and 27 are not the preferred carry option. I've tried it with a 27 and it indeed is too thick to comfortably carry under most situations. However a few years ago they introduced the glock 42 and 43, which are much smaller and have a single stack magazine.

Still plastic.

[–] IAMA_WhiteMale_AMA 0 points 0 points (+0|-0) ago

I got the 27. Didn't know know about the new ones. Will have to check them out.

[–] Dougal_McHaggis 0 points 1 points (+1|-0) ago

The gun industry has too much time on its hands to think this bullshit up. Just get a g26 and a spare 17 mag.

[–] DeltaBravoTango 0 points 1 points (+1|-0) ago

I guess it could be useful for storing in a bag but that's all I can think of.

[–] Goathole 0 points 1 points (+1|-0) ago

It was dumb when they thought of it and it was dumb when they made a prototype.
