Very little advantage to this, but a huge amount of disadvantage. It's still a large, heavy brick even when folded. A regular gun would fit into almost the same space. Because it folds, it is much weaker and more prone to failure than a regular Glock. This is a concept that is going nowhere, because it has no real purpose.

It's neat... but still stupid...

This is why my switch-blade style machete failed: "SWITCHETE!"

I am very sorry I had that idea.

not so fast liberal, this is meerely a concept. they could have it be springy and snap into position once you remove it from the holster.

It seems like a compromise Welrod nobody asked for. Yes I am aware the welrod is silenced, but it is a takedown pistol, only connected with a hinge. If you are going to to take advantage of the size advantage, I would go all the way with it. https://i.pinimg.com/originals/aa/4c/83/aa4c8364adc98bb5bfe529044beac1ea.jpg

Yeah, I really want a H&K 9mm VP Tactical, but I don't have $700+ to throw around.

By the time you get that gobot into battle mode my Smith and Wesson shield has 3 rounds into you. I see no real advantage to this.

It's so you never have to publicly admit that you own a fucking Shield.

Pretty cool for a glove box or center console in a side by side but, as a draw and shoot weapon it's next to useless. Most people can't even operate the slide properly(short stroke) in a SHTF situation.

Glocks are too fat for concealed carry. I got the baby Glock, which has a shorter barrel and grip, but is still just as thick because of the way bullets are stacked in Glock magazines. And thickness matters more than length. So instead of being a best of both worlds thing, it sucks at both conceal carry and handling well when shooting.

Tldr: get two handguns.

This hasn't been true for several years now. The glock 26 and 27 are not the preferred carry option. I've tried it with a 27 and it indeed is too thick to comfortably carry under most situations. However a few years ago they introduced the glock 42 and 43, which are much smaller and have a single stack magazine.

I guess it could be useful for storing in a bag but that's all I can think of.

It was dumb when they thought of it and it was dumb when they made a prototype.

This is a solution looking for a problem. The problem with this solution is that it is hackable and so much can go wrong with it. The simpler the device, the less that can go wrong.
