"Four-wheel drive, 4WD, or 4x4 ("four by four") is a four-wheeled vehicle with a drivetrain that allows all four wheels to receive torque from the Engine simultaneously." see Jeep Wrangler Wiki. The Jeep in this instance is traveling straight so it doesn't matter if it's AWD or 4WD. 4WD when turning on pavement will skip or wheel hop. AWD will not as it has a center Differential (mechanical device), which allows each tire to rotate at a different speed. All 4 Wheels have torque unless it has been disconnected. Wrangler's have a lever in them to allow you to disconnect the 4WD (hi or low) and go to 2 wheel drive for pavement driving so I couldn't say what mode it's in as you can't see it in the gif.

I have a jeep Liberty, and this was how it was explained to me. One powered wheel at opposite side of vehicle on each axle. Thanks for the education.

Wrangler's are special. The Jeep SUVs probably works as it was explained to you.
