CG book and also what kind of library can afford such high framerate security recording? But what do I care, I'm just here for the fun of it.

Yeah, I totally agree that CG is the most likely explanation, however if that is the case then I'm very impressed by the efforts to detail. I'm proficient at 3D model rendering and animation and the attention to detail required to generate this would take a bit of skill, given the movement of the individual pages, how the book bends, the reproduction of real world light sourcing and the realism of the shadows and reflection on the table. Far more impressive than the usual long brunette in a white dress "ghost"!

I like what you've done with the subverse by the way. I normally get my fix on /r/ghosts but that may change now.

If this video was a product of special effects then I'm impressed. I had a look at the video one frame at a time and I can't fault it... even the shadow and reflection of the book against the desk seems spot-on.
